Tamil Tiger(LTTE)terrorist rookie surrendered to the security forces last week made a startling revelation on an LTTE's attempt to starve Eastern Tamils living in the un-liberated areas. Speaking to the government officials the surrendee confessed that the LTTE had fixed four bombs each weighing 1000kg on the Panichchankerni Bridge in order to destroy it, once the Army or other vehicle attempts to cross over the Bridge. The surrendered LTTE cadre also revealed that the LTTE have set few small bombs two months ago targeting the security forces personnel who were crossing the bridge but it was unsuccessful since it could cause only a little damage to the bridge.
