Tamil Tiger rebels launch their first ever air raid attack on a military air base in Colombo, Sri Lanka on the 27th of March 2007. This coming after they had signed a peace treaty with the Sri Lankan government in Norway 2001. Though the peace agreement and ceasefire is still in progress, over 4000 people have been killed on both sides in the last five years.
