Oct 19, 2009 - talented ponies and brave little riders... but WOW that speed is a recipe for a major disaster.

Annika994 Says:

Oct 24, 2009 - That first rider was very very good but wasn't she moving a little bit too fast?! : / ...okey every rider in this movie moves a little bit too fast, but they are very good riders!! : D

Oct 28, 2009 - Lovely kids and horses :):*

stupidblond428a Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - no..these fences are only like 2'3-2'6!

eukriipony Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - yeah i don't care, you can still crash a 2'6 fence easy at that speed. it could be very disastrous.

Lori4Saru Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - Omw these kids are so cute! I also used to have a crazy little pony who used to be the most insane animal i ever rode. One time my brother came to fetch me from the stables in his beach buggy and i was busy finshing cross-country practice and i pointed my pony towards the buggy and he actually jumped it! the car was very low, bt still he was just the most awsum pony. Crazy as anything. Keep up the great riding, guys

DraftxHorsexRider Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - um it depends on wat class they were in maybe they were in one of those speed classes where u try to get the fastest time at doing the course. but they r very good riders

Tumppi125 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - yeah u right! : D

nikkiiebabii Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - is it me or dose the 3rd horse look at litle too small for the rider . no offence to them as i cant do any of that.

TommyTheHorse Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Hi nikkiiebabii - the rider on the third pony moved up to riding a bigger one shortly after this video was taken. You can see her and the pony she rides now on my video "Innedørs NM 2009 - Kat 1 Ponni Jump-off " (she's the second rider on the video and won the silver medal at the recent indoors championship in Norway).

IcePonyGoddess Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Awesome little ponies and young riders! What fun!

MariaVana Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - this is a wonderful example of why young kids shouldnt be allowed to do the jumpers i kno its cute and no one got hurt but thats entirely to fast, i do jumpers with my thoroughbred and its not about galloping through the course its about using balance and rhythm to find the best track horse and rider in total agreement this is just scary

TommyTheHorse Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - Thanks for the comment Maria, but I think you're wrong. Comparing riding your thoroughbred with these tiny ponies is silly. Nobody with any sense would gallop their horse around a jumper course. These small ponies have a totally different movement / gait and the riders in this video are in total control (in my opinion). Watching somebody perform a standing back flip, barefoot, on a grass surface is way more scary than this.

smellywellies123 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - i TOTALLY agree !!! they have more space to be able to go faster ! Ponies can also turn alot better than a horse can and think about Shetland grandnational they gallop over jumps faster than this, if you wanna have fun - pony is the route you should - You think this is scairy, watch pony club games hahaa x

MariaVana Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - im a sixteen year gymnast and dont often tumble on grass a back tuck is a very simple skill that has a soft landing and its dangerous to tumble with shoes on. these ponies may turn faster but they still have small frail legs, other than a the thoroughbred i also have a very small arabian who does the jumpers and i still dont let her gallop into a jump

TommyTheHorse Says:

Nov 27, 2009 - Your implication about "small frail legs" is (presumably) that they're at great risk of injury. Well, I've been watching these three ponies for almost two years now and I've yet to see them come to grief or get injured or even get lame. They are very tough and the girls riding in this video are experienced enough to know their capabilities. As a commenter has noted - watch pony club games; those ponies are getting more stress put on their joints and legs compared to these guys.

ribbonandseymour Says:

Dec 1, 2009 - omg this looks so fun i got a pony i would love to try this on him but i wont it is only dangerous when you dont know what you are doing and that would be me lol looks so fun but!

sonorapop Says:

Dec 2, 2009 - Seriously no way you would do this on a thoroughbred they would have a heart attack! But these ponies aren't going faster than a larger sized horse would they just have smaller strides so it looks faster. Props to these girls and ponies they did awesome!!!!!!!

Mar 12, 2010 - is this video private now? i cant view it anymore :( it was one of my favorites!

TommyTheHorse Says:

Mar 14, 2010 - Hi there - yes, I've had to make the video private but I hope to make it public again sometime. I've had several people contact me claiming that they're in my videos and objected to me filming them without permission and then putting the film on YouTube. I've had to take down practically all my compilation videos until I can sort things out. None of the girls in this video have objected but I need to contact them to check that they don't mind being on YouTube.
